Power Man and Iron Fist - Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - Danial Carroll

PAGE ONE (four panels)

PANEL 1. Headshot of the current Power Man and Iron Fist in front of a graffitied wall. They are just talking to each other.

POWER MAN:
Flight?

IRON FIST:
Web-slinging?

PANEL 2. Mid shot of both. You can tell from their posture that they are seated.

POWER MAN:
Quinjet?

POWER MAN:
Blackbird?

IRON FIST:
Luke was telling me that the Thunderbolts use Man-Thing to teleport them around.

PANEL 3. Wider shot. We now see that they are sitting on a bench against a concrete wall.

POWER MAN:
Even that would do.

IRON FIST:
You're right, we need something...

PANEL 4. Very wide shot, revealing them to be sitting in a subway train station. A large sign above their heads reads, "Central Station". People nearby are staring at them, one young child even pointing.

IRON FIST:
This is just embarrassing.

  1. HA! I like it. Nice, simple banter. A great light hearted and fun script.

  2. That's a cool script, fun and well laid out. I'm not 100% up to date on Danny's current situation - has he lost his fortune recently?

  3. Oh, I didn't know he was rich. I was just pondering how it was that street-level heroes get about in NYC, and this script was the result :)

  4. Danial - that's an awesome script because it's so simple but so very neat and effective. The whole Man-Thing line just drops it so nicely into continuity and makes the pay off complete.

    Golden.

  5. This is a great script. It starts so simply, but forces the reader to wonder what's going on, and the payoff works perfectly. Good stuff!

  6. Yes, he lost most of his fortune, and his company is much smaller than it used to be. And, on New Avengers, Bendis established that he doesn't have a license to drive.

Great script, Danial. Really clever, done-in-one page.
