Etrigan - Silence is Golden - Ben Rosenthal

1.  Jason Blood kneels, hand flat on the ground in the dark woods.  He is looking up, blood pouring from his mouth. We see from behind a shadowed arm holding something wet and dripping. Jason Blood looks at this person with hatred.

2.  A reveal of the shadowed person.  It is Lord Satanus, holding the tongue of Jason Blood, smiling evily.

3.  A close up of Jason’s hands, stained with blood.  He is writing something in the ground as Lord Satanus talks. We make out the words Rise, the Demon Etrigan” scrawled in the dirt.

4.  Blood transforms into Etrigan, and is lunging at Lord Satanus.

  1. Nice work-around on the vocal component of the spell. The imagery is simple, but brutal - reminded me of the movie TITUS - with Anthony Hopkins...

    Anywho...very cool.

  2. Brutal stuff. Great scene that really reminds me of your Zatanna script from way back when (in a good way).

    1. Just read that Zatanna script - as John Constantine would say, "Nasty piece of work there, old son." (also in a good way.)

  3. Ah, Ben, I really wanted to see you rhyme.

Guess I'll have to wait for another time.

  4. I loved this page Ben, put panel 3 takes such an imaginative new look at the things we know about Etrigan's powers that if that was all you had done I would have still loved it.

Tight, well paced and so full of potential for more. I tip my hat to you sir!

  5. Gory, visually engaging and then a burst of action in the last panel. Good stuff.
