1. The flickering lights of the city at night but upside down. The starry sky at the bottom of the panel the city gutters at the top.

2. Close up on the escapists hands, they are wrapped with chains and held together with a large padlock.

3. The Escapist hangs upside down high above the city. He is wrapped in chains from head to toe.

CAPTION THE ESCAPIST: Sometimes you have nowhere to escape to.

  1. Short, but sweet. And damn stylish; it flows really well, and despite the lack of copy, would make a heckuva Frank Miller b&w "a la Sin City" type of page. Cool as a mountain lake, Shaun.

  2. I dug the upside down imagery at the start. A way to go with it might have been to have the imagery flip in the last panel and then hit it with the caption. Visually the stars and the city look pretty similar. Hence, nowhere to escape to.
