Kate Bishop – Apartment Block Blues - Shaun Richens

PAGE ONE – 4 PANELS.

1.1
Small panel. Insert panel in top left of 1.2. Two pairs of arrows jut out of a wall. A slender female hand is clasped around each pair holding on incredibly tight.

CAPTION KATE:
Ok so this isn’t great.

1.2
Large panel. Three quarter page splash. KATE BISHOP hangs from the side of a tower block, only managing to hang on because of the pair of arrows currently embedded in the wall. A few floors up we can see a broken window. That’s clearly where our miss Bishop was so unceremoniously flung.

Kate is dressed in stylish black skinny jeans and a three quarter length sleeve tee with white body and purple sleeves.

CAPTION KATE:
But all things considered things could be worse.

1.3
Small panel. Insert panel in bottom right of 1.2. One of the pairs of arrows has snapped in half. Kate’s hand falls away still holding the broken shafts, the other end of the arrow shaft still juts from the wall.

CAPTION KATE:
Good work Kate. You had to go and tempt fate.

1.4
Wide panel. Kate falls through the air, arms reaching up towards us. She looks amazingly cool and calm for someone falling towards a rather unhappy landing.

CAPTION KATE:
Barton’s guna love getting to save my @*%

  1. Jeez, Shaun, that is a nice, taut page that nails Kate's character to a T. Well paced and that last panel's fantastic. Very cool.
