understand the universe as a whole?

Let alone a multiverse. Or the omniverse.

Maybe that’s what drives my calling as a scientist.

For if a scientist can never truly complete their work, they are never left
without a purpose in life.

They are never without something new to explore, without new ideas and worlds
to discover.

Theirs is a journey that will never end.
